HISTORY
Born in 2019 under the name LANDMARKS, the artist Vidya-Kélie’s project, BURNING BLUE, continues to explore the relationship between events and the Earth’s position in our galaxy.
Based on a major interactive work in her career, the transmedia artist translated the collector’s intimate moment into drawings of entwined bodies mapped onto the precise stars present in the sky of their memory.
Today, she continues to invoke the powerful fire emanating from emotions and the propagation of these vibrations through space.
After working in the Art & Science & Digital fields with magnetic fields¹, telepresence², synchronicity³, and trust⁴, she developed her studio SPACE MEMORY, which aims to make questions of astronomy, physical sciences, and the relationship between body and universe accessible.
¹ Tango Magnétique, 2019, Sculpture, Internet Installation
² Lamp, 2021, Arduino Installation, UV Lamp
³ #SUN, 2022, Real-time Map, Sculptures
⁴ Pierres de confiance, 2023, Encoded Clay Sculptures
Like lines in the city, in the air, rays of light connecting at vibrant points, imbued with joy, anger, passion… And these moments seem connected, coexisting, crossing paths, touching… with the stars just below as the only witnesses to an intense moment, an intimate complicity with them…
The moment exists forever through them.
BURNING BLUE, the way I found to pay tribute to all these stories in a singular and powerful way.
VISION AND COMMITMENT
At the heart of the BURNING BLUE approach lies a fundamental question: the place of the invisible, misunderstood because it eludes any proof, sometimes called “mysterious.” Today, discussing the interdependence between “full” and “empty,” a foundational concept in art, becomes both a political and scientific act in a world dominated by images. Through the jewels that adorn buildings or skin, a door opens: it allows us to share our relationship with space or to reveal the story we hold in our hearts. BURNING BLUE – SPACE MEMORY STUDIO follows a lineage of contemporary art in which media sciences, history, technology, astronomy… and other blended disciplines allow the studio to offer, through workshops, artworks, and installations, an engaging and thought-provoking awareness.
ARTIST’S WORD

“For a long time, I sought to understand what defined the nature of the energies I perceived in the walls of the city of Paris.
I always felt that stone reflected the energies of intimate emotions, like two young people lightly touching hands for the first time on the corner of rue Saint-Denis, but also those of the great stories that marked turning points in humanity’s life, at the same place, decades earlier…
Like lines in the city, in the air, rays of light intersecting at vibrant points, imbued with joy, anger, passion… And these moments seem connected, coexisting, crossing paths, touching… with the stars just above, the only witnesses of an intense moment, an intimate complicity with them…
The moment exists forever through them.
This is BURNING BLUE, the way I found to pay tribute to all these stories, in a singular and powerful manner.”
